Bethel Lutheran Home is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Pursuant to the By-Laws of Bethel Lutheran Home, at least the majority of congregational sponsors must be affiliated with the Upper Missouri conference of the Western North Dakota Synod of the ELCA and have accepted membership to this corporation. In addition to the congregational sponsors, Bethel Lutheran Home is governed by a nine member Board of Directors elected at the annual meeting held in September. Each board member must be a congregational member of one of the sponsor churches and is elected to a three year term with the option to run for a second three year term.
