Bethel
Lutheran Home, Williston, North Dakota, exists for the primary purpose
of providing Christian care in its truest meaning - ministering to the
physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of each person, not merely as a
professional service, but as a work of love and mercy. Thus, we minister
to people in the name of Christ by recognizing each individual as a
child of God.
Just as Bethel Home employs qualified staff to meet the physical and emotional needs of our Elders, Bethel also employs a full-time Chaplain to help meet their spiritual needs. Pastor Czubay, an ordained pastor of the ELCA, provides pastoral care and visitation for Elders, families and staff. As a part of her ministry, she also provides emergency pastoral care and hospice ministry.
Sunday morning worship services are held in the Chapel at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday Morning. Communion is held the first Sunday of each month. Weekly devotions are held every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. and for those Elders who are unable to come to the Chapel, weekly devotions are held on each neighborhood with the exception of Nelson Manor. All Elders and their families are welcome to attend.
In addition, Catholic Mass is held
each Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. by a local priest and a group from
the
Assembly of God Church provide an inspirational message in song on
Wednesday mornings at 10:15 a.m.
Bethel Home realizes the importance to our Elders of "staying connected" to the people and places that have given them support and purpose. For this reason, we encourage the continued "connectiveness" of our Elder's home church congregation and clergy through visitation, monthly newsletters and prayers.
