Visitation & COVID-19 Updates

Currently our visitors are required to wear masks when in our building.

As always, please do not plan to visit if you are sick or are having any symptoms.

**Visitation and activity schedules are subject to change at any time due to county infection rates, ND health department or other government guidance.**
If you have any questions, please call us at 701-572-6766.

Masks are always recommended for individuals who:

  • Have suspected or confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection or other respiratory infection (e.g., those with runny nose, cough, sneeze).
  • Had close contact* or a higher-risk exposure (HCW) with someone with SARS-CoV-2 infection, for 10 days after their exposure; or
  • Have otherwise had masks recommended by public health authorities.

Individuals might also choose to use masks on personal preference, informed by their perceived level of risk for infection based on their recent activities (e.g., attending crowded indoor gatherings with poor ventilation) and their potential for developing severe disease.

Thank you for your understanding and continual support in protecting your loved ones and all who reside at BLNRC.

General guidelines for all visitors:

  • All visitors must follow facility Covid-19 guidelines on masking and infection control.  Please see current guidelines above for more information.
  • To keep residents healthy and safe please consider getting vaccinated and boosted as soon as you are able.  If you have not been vaccinated, please consider getting tested before you visit.
  • Children must be supervised at all times by an adult.
  • All visitors must sanitize upon entering the building, during their visit, and when exiting the building.
  • All visitors must limit their visitation to only the room of the resident they are visiting or designated visiting areas.
  • If the family member/person being visited is in a Semi-Private room, please visit with them in a common area outside of their room.
  • Compassionate Care visits are allowed for residents in isolation after visitor has received donning and doffing instructions and education. Visitor understands that if the compassionate visitation is for a resident in isolation and/or non-vaccinated, the visitor should consult their provider prior to entering as the visitor may be at an increased risk of exposure.  We strongly prefer video visits or regular phone calls until the resident isolation is done.

*Close contact means:  being within 6 feet or within the same room for more than 15 minutes while not wearing recommended personal protective equipment (i.e. respirator, eye protection) or having direct contact with infectious secretions of a COVID-19 case (being coughed/sneezed on).
